Humanist Movement (HM) has a world-view and aims the personal-social transformation of the individual and the society.

For more than 50 years, the society has not seen any invention. As a matter of fact, people have stopped differentiating between science and technology. That technology is the application of science, is a news to many science students also.

Society has been perfecting the tools of killing to the extent that enough bombs have been stockpiled that can annihilate the whole world many times.

Violence is everywhere. Within as well as around us. Suicides are increasing everywhere. People have been divided on every possible basis; Families have been divided; Doubts and suspicion are increasing at all times.

The value system has broken-apart and the aim of life seems to be going around Money-Power-Sex. Everyone, at all times, is eyeing for more money, more power and more beautiful things. Cost is immaterial and people are ready to fall in great debts to achieve these aims, irrespective of the fact that many in debts keep committing suicide.

If we look at the current life-style and value-system and go back a few decades, we find things have been deteriorating.

If we go back a couple of generations, we find things different. We find many positive values that have since deteriorating,

If we go back a few more generations, we will find interesting things there. There were ideologies, discussions, debates and a lot of things that were improving. There were inventions happening inspite of lesser resources as compared to current times.

Human being was not the same at all times. It was growing in many ways. There was violence, but, there were also many current of thoughts all around.

What has happened now, specially in last 50 to 60 years ? It seems only violence is growing making things deteriorate all around. Human being seems to have stopped evolving as a race. There are no inventions; there is no ideology other than violence (Humanism is an exception, and its not an invention); there is nothing other than Money-Power-Sex that is needed.

What is happening ? It seems that the society (as a whole) has stopped evolving.

Will humans remain doing the same thing for ever ?

Will there be a change in his direction ?

Will there be a change of human’s aim from Money-Power-Sex ?

Will the human being evolve further ?

Gandhi said “The earth has enough for every one’s needs, but not for one man’s greed”.

UN study has said “That with current resources and technology, with just 4% of world population working, everyone can be provided with middle-class life standards of north-european countries”.

There is enough evidence of this to be around the truth.

Why is it not happening ? While this does not happen and people remain in the race of more and more of Money-Power-Sex all the times, human being is in sure trouble.

The equitable distribution of wealth, the provision of Education-Job-Health-Housing for all, all this is currently being controlled by the politicians. They may be Presidents, Prime-Ministers, Kings or whatever, they control all the resources and force over 80% of population to remain in ever-increasing miserable conditions.

It seems that unless they change, a lot of change will not take place.

If politicians were to be Humanists, there would be no discrimination and no violence.

If politicians were to be Humanists, there would be Education-Job-Health-Housing for all.

Why this cannot happen ?

How can this happen ?

Humanist Movement has deep faith in the future of human race and its ability to evolve and grow.

With this faith, HM has formed HP as the instrument to Humanize politics and has given the mission to HP to transform the area of politics

This is the reason, the purpose, the aim of HP and the HP, inspired by the HM has been created to fulfil this mission.

The HP members are not today’s “politicians”. They are true-selfless-volunteers of HM with the mission to transform politics.

HP has a meaning and this meaning goes beyond the Parliament seats, beyond the Power-seats.

Il Manifesto e gli umanisti

dopo l’intervento di venerdì scorso di Valentino Parlato e Alessandro Robecchi al Forum Umanista Europeo, esce oggi questo articolo (sul Il Manifesto nazionale) che ritengo molto significativo. Sono estremamente felice che da molti punti si sta iniziando ad aprirsi reciprocamente. Forse sarà l’urgenza del momento, oppure uan riflessione sulla storia recente, in ogni caso: andiamo avanti così, con Granpasso 😉 e senza lasciarsi incatenare dal secondario.

ps: linko la pagina in pdf dell’edizione di oggi che ricevo tutte le mattine grazie all’abbonamento web (120 euro per l’ abbonamento annuale … si può fare no?

Non è vero che il mondo va peggio…

mi sono portato in campeggio da leggere un librino che racconta il “lato oscuro” del progresso contemporaneo: ovvero che nonostante questo mondo sia guidato da poteri concentratori, violenti e molto miopi, ci sono molti aspetti del mondo che progrediscono e migliorano le condizioni di vita.

il libro è: Non è vero che tutto va peggio

Gli umanisti sanno molto bene tutto ciò, e per questo siamo ottimisti nel futuro e nella possibilità di raggiungere un mondo non violento e umano. Da qui l’energia che deriva nel vedere tanta violenza e spreco di risorse. Il nostro paese è palesemente nel pieno di una procedura di “fascistizzazione”, mentre il mondo sta mostrando gli effetti di un sistema di valori sbagliato.

Trovo e riporto qui una serie di simpatici confronti sul mondo della scuola:

(Un giorno, in un futuro non molto lontano, pagheremo caro per aver dimenticato tutte quelle cose che un tempo ci rendevano ciò che siamo).

Scenario: Jack va a caccia di quaglie prima di andare a scuola, entra nel parcheggio della scuola con il fucile nel furgone.

1957 – Arriva il vicepreside, vede il fucile di Jack, va alla sua macchina e prende il proprio fucile per mostrarlo a Jack.
2007 – La scuola viene chiusa, viene chiamato l’FBI, Jack viene portato in carcere e non vedrà mai più il proprio fucile né il proprio furgone. Vengono chiamati dei medici per assistere gli studenti e gli insegnanti traumatizzati.

Scenario: Johnny e Mark fanno a pugni dopo la scuola.

1957 – Si raduna una folla. Mark vince. Johnny e Mark si stringono la mano e diventano amici.
2007 – Viene chiamata la polizia, arrivano le squadre SWAT, Johnny e Mark vengono arrestati. Accusati di aggressione, vengono entrambi espulsi dalla scuola, anche se era stato Johnny a cominciare.

Scenario: Jeffrey fa baccano in classe e disturba gli altri studenti.

1957 – Jeffrey viene mandato dal preside e si becca una ramanzina. Ritorna in classe, si siede tranquillo e non disturba più la lezione.
2007 – A Jeffrey vengono somministrate dosi massicce di Ritalin. Diventa uno zombi. Gli viene fatto il test per la Sindrome di Iperattività e Deficit di Attenzione. La scuola ottiene più fondi dallo stato a causa della disabilità di Jack.

Scenario: Billy rompe il finestrino dell’auto del suo vicino di casa e suo papà lo prende a frustate con la cintola.

1957 – Billy, la volta dopo, sta più attento, cresce come una persona normale, va al college e diventa un affarista di successo.
2007 – Il papà di Billy viene arrestato per abuso su minore. Billy viene tolto alla potestà dei genitori e entra a far parte di una gang. Lo psicologo pubblico suggerisce alla sorella di Billy che anche lei ricorda di aver subito abusi e il loro papà finisce in prigione. La mamma di Billy ha una relazione con lo psicologo.

Scenario: Mark ha mal di testa e prende un’aspirina a scuola.

1957 – Mark divide la sua aspirina con il preside nella sala fumatori.
2007 – Viene chiamata la polizia, Mark è espulso dalla scuola per violazione delle leggi antidroga. La sua auto viene perquisita alla ricerca di droga e armi da fuoco.

Scenario: Pedro, al liceo, viene rimandato in inglese.

1957 – Pedro frequenta i corsi estivi, passa l’esame d’inglese e va al college.
2007 – Il caso di Pedro diventa un affare di stato. In tutta la nazione vengono pubblicati articoli di giornale che sostengono che richiedere la conoscenza dell’inglese per accedere all’università è una cosa razzista. La ACLU intraprende una class action contro il sistema scolastico statale e contro l’insegnante d’inglese di Pedro. L’inglese viene bandito dai curriculum. Pedro riesce ad ottenere il diploma, ma finisce a falciare l’erba per vivere perché non è in grado di parlare inglese.

Scenario: Johnny prende dei fuochi d’artificio avanzati dal 4 di luglio, li mette in una bottiglia di vernice e fa esplodere un formicaio.

1957 – Muore qualche formica.
2007 – Vengono chiamati il BATF, la Homeland Security e l’FBI. Johnny viene accusato di terrorismo interno, l’FBI indaga sui suoi genitori, i suoi fratelli più piccoli vengono portati via da casa, i computer vengono sequestrati, il papà di Johnny finisce su una lista di possibili terroristi e non gli sarà mai più consentito di prendere l’aereo.

Scenario: Johnny cade mentre corre durante la ricreazione e si sbuccia un ginocchio. La sua maestra, Mary, lo trova in lacrime e lo abbraccia per consolarlo.

1957 – In breve tempo, Johnny si sente meglio e torna a giocare.
2007 – Mary viene accusata di pedofilia e perde il lavoro. Sconta 3 anni di carcere in una prigione di stato. Johnny viene sottoposto a 5 anni di psicoterapia.
